It's just after 7, and I've been up for almost two and a half hours. Yep. I'm a bit sleepy.
I'd really like to be able to sleep better at night.
Any suggestions?
I think I'm going to start running more in the mornings and then some in the evenings now that it's getting cooler.
I'm still hoping to do a half marathon. I don't know when it's going to happen, but yeah. For now, I'm gearing up to do the Mather Mud Run at the end of this month. It's only two miles, but it's through mud on an obstacle course. YEAH!! That's exciting, right? I have like two weeks before the race. Can I do that? I dunno -- I certainly hope so. It should be fun. I need to get more intentional about running every day though. As it stands, I haven't been, and that's not so good.
13.1... I'm on my way! (eventually) he he he

I need recipes. I can't cook
It's true. I can't cook.
I scour allrecipes.com for cool stuff to make, but most of the time I revert back to all of the same stuff. I want to be able to make things that will be like... wow! every time.
I have mastered the art of banana bread, candied walnuts, ramen and costco brownies.
I'm planning on putting together a recipe book for Christmas with your recipes, and OUR photography. It is going to be pretty sweet, I think.
Wanna contribute? Let me know. I'll add it in!
Leave comments with your favorite recipes and we'll try them out, shoot them, and get them in the book.

New Roommates
So, we decided we wanted to do a little work around the house, and to do that, we felt it was necessary to have roommates to supplement our funds to do so.
SO, we have 3 roommates, S, a teacher. He's a cool guy -- pretty quiet, but really nice.
C who's a massage therapist and an italian food engineer with rad ink, and a a super fun personality
and D who is also really fun, also has a ton of tattoos, and works with a high end furniture company.
We already just love them all, but it's also sad that our old roommate, little sister, and bff moved to college. We're really proud of her, but we miss her.

Who we are.
We've already been working on a blog for the business, but it's not always the best practice to have your personal junk on a spot where clients will see right away, so I'm starting a new one to put all of our fun things that are happening around the house.
If you don't know us well, we're Ben and Lauren. You SHOULD know that part.
We have lots of animals, I mean LOTS. 2 Goats, 8 Chickens, 5 Guinea Hens, 4 ducks, 2 Dogs and 4 cats. There's a gold fish floating around here somewhere too, but I'm not sure which water receptacle it's in right now. and YES... they all have names.
We don't have kids yet, although it would be nice to have at least one. We're thinking about adopting, and we've talked extensively about names for them too. Is that weird?
We run a photography company. It's called Vida Mia Photography. You can go to our website at www.vidamiaphoto.com or myspace.com/vidamiaphotography. It's fun, but DANG it's hard work running that stuff.
We have a studio in town here, but we have been doing a ton of weddings this summer and we haven't had a whole lot of time to spend shooting at the studio. Fall is coming though, and that means we're movin it indoors a bit more often. YEAH!
We like to be out of doors, making, breaking, or exploring things. We enjoy cheap wine, good food and expensive beer. We LOVE family. At the end of the day, they are really the only ones that hang around. They have to. They're genetically bound to us. :D
A good day would be taking a walk, eating some good barbecue and sitting on the porch in our rocking chairs with a glass of wine. We seem probably 50, but that's ok... We don't mind. Maybe we'll seem 25 when we actually ARE 50.
We have roommates, mostly so we can have people to talk with more often, but the extra income also gives us an opportunity to do fun stuff around the house that we might not otherwise be able to do. LIKE -- new flooring and HVAC to come soon.
Anyway -- that's about it for now. Gonna go get some work done.
